#31DC2013 Day 30: Inspired by a Tutorial

The day I got this challenge I knew I wanted to do a fun and colorful look. I am super excited for today's post as I am sharing the nail art inspired from a tutorial done by the very talented Lucie of (Lucy's stash). She did this super cool water color manicure inspired by a colorful dress.

For this manicure, I used Milani White on the spot as a base on my nails. Then, I used four different nail polish shades for achieving the water color look.

For the stripes and the Ruffian pattern, I used Daler Rowney Black Acrylic paint. I used a big striping brush to create the stripes and a small detailing brush to create the Ruffian pattern.

Shades used:
White: Milani White on the spot
Yellow: Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow
Red: Colorbar All fired up
Green: OPI Jade is the new black
Blue: VOV Ivy Blue

Thanks for stopping by. Stay beautiful...
