MAC Paint Pot Morning Frost

Morning frost was released in October 2011 with the MAC Glitter & Ice collection. This is a limited edition shade.

Morning Frost is described as a shimmering champagne taupe. It is a brown-gray frosted finish paint pot. It is shimmery without being over the top. It's soft, natural, and has nice pigmentation. In different lights it reflects brown, bronze and taupe shades.

I can see any skintone being able to wear this beauty. It is great for the days where you don’t have enough time to do a more methodical look.
I'm a huge paint pot junkie because they're so multi-purpose. They can be worn on their own or as a base for the eyeshadow. They last me a long time even with daily use.

On the Website:
MAC describe its paint pots as “A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream-based can be mixed with MAC shadows and liners”.

How I use it?
It works really well for an all-over wash of color.
It can also be used as an eyeshadow base.
I pair this with MAC patina or Covergirl Shimmering sands trio. This makes the colours more vibrant.

Packaging:
It came in a silver box. It has white lid on the glass jar that fits in with the rest of the Glitter and Ice holiday collection.  This is a nice change compared to the usual black lid.

Formula:
The formula is creamy. It dries down quickly without creasing, but gives enough time to blend the edges. It blends well and looked shimmery but not metallic.

The color payoff is really good and it goes on the lids opaque after the first layer.  This can be layered for achieving more intensity.

Pros:
It last for hours without smudging, creasing or fading.
It has no fallout.
This can be used as a shadow base or an eyeshadow alone.

Cons:
Costly
Limited edition.

Retail Price: $17.5 (for 5g/0.17oz)
