Winter Colors: Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter

It is a beautiful deep red, though it appears sheer red on my pigmented lips. This lip butter packs quite a color punch and has good staying power. This does not feel greasy.  I really do love this shade. It is shiny without looking like a gloss.

But it is messy and unhygienic to apply with the finger.

Korres Website:

What it is:
A rich, buttery lip balm that melts on the lips and offers a shiny, tinted finish.

What it does:
This rich butter leaves lips deeply moisturized, supple, and kissably soft. Korres Lip Butters are formulated with natural oils and extracts to soothe and condition lips. Shea butter and rice wax provide lasting hydration and softness. This shiny, juicy pop of color comes in an array of "flavors" and is ideal for dry lips.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Petrochemicals
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan

Seven shades are available (Guava, Jasmine, Mango, Quince, Plum, Pomegranate, Wild Rose).

How to wear it?

-       You can wear it like a pretty hint of color on your lips
-       As it slough away any dead skin so after applying it for 15 minutes wipe off the excess for healthy looking lips.

This Lip Butter comes in a plastic jar/tub. The packaging could be better.

The texture is not at all greasy or oily but very smooth buttery and pretty creamy in consistency.

It has a subtle Vanilla smell, but it is barely noticeable once applied to the lips.

Staying Power:

It lasts a good 2 hours on me (w/o eating-drinking) on its own.

It is very moisturizing on lips.
It gives a glossy shine to lips.
It feels lightweight on lips.
It can be mixed with a little sugar and can work well as a lip scrub.
It has no Parabens and Sulfates.

It is unhygienic to poke your finger into the tub.
It does not heal cracked lips.
It is pretty sheer on lips.

Retail Price: $12 for 0.21 oz (at Sephora)

Will I repurchase: Would love to try Pomegranate one.

  1. I have this one, Quince, Mango and Jasmine. I just love these! I want to try the Pomegranate, too. I think you can find them for much cheaper on Home Shopping Network website. They used to have nice sets on there for way less than what you would get them for at Sephora.

  2. @Sarah Thanks for sharing Sarah. I will definitely try the website you referred :)
